Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which pathway is right for me?

Start with what you have to give — time and skills point toward volunteering, professional experience and networks point toward mentoring, an organisation or institution points toward partnership, and resources point toward support. If you're still unsure, reach out and we'll help you find the right fit.

Do I need prior experience to volunteer or mentor?

Volunteer roles span programmes and project management, communications and media, advocacy and partnerships, research and data, operations, and IT — so there's a place for a range of skill levels. Mentors typically bring a few years of professional or academic experience to share.

What happens after I apply?

Our team reviews every application and reaches out if there's a good fit for a current opportunity — please allow some time for a response.

Can organisations or institutions get involved too?

Yes. We partner with schools, companies and other organisations on programmes, resources and joint initiatives — reach out through the Partner pathway to start a conversation.

Not sure where you fit?

Tell us a bit about yourself and what you're hoping to do, and we'll help you find the right way to get involved.
