About The Project
The Thrive Project is a two-day youth empowerment initiative by SOARi, hosted in partnership with the Youth Day of Service (YDoS) and LEAP Africa, as part of the International Youth Day 2025 celebrations.
It equips young Africans with career clarity, mentorship, and creative storytelling skills to drive personal and social transformation.




THE PROJECT
DAY 01

Career mapping clinic (virtual)
A dynamic workshop that helps young people uncover their career direction through personalized assessments, mentorship sessions, and practical exposure to career pathways.
“What Drives You?” session - Defining your WHY, career driven by purpose
Career Pathway Mapping using personality and interest tools
Breakout sessions: Media, Tech, Health, Business, Civic Leadership
Resume & LinkedIn profile review and job application tips
Mentorship roundtable with professionals - Q&A Panel
DAY 02

THRIVE BOOTCAMP: Content creation & storytelling (physical)
This practical bootcamp will introduce participants to life skills through the lens of film, digital media, and storytelling, empowering them to use content as a tool for personal and societal transformation.
- Foundational session: The Power of Storytelling
- Technical skill workshops:
- Smartphone and Professional Camera Videography
- Scriptwriting
- Pre-Production
- Production Setup
- Visual Storyboarding
- Teamwork in content creation
- Post-Production - Mobile and Computer editing
- Group practicals – participants will develop a short film concept or social campaign
- Show-and-Tell + Feedback
Who can participate?
Young people aged 16–25 from across Nigeria who are eager to gain clarity, build skills, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
